The size of blank is now described depending from shape type, there is also now a button to calculate automatically the holder pin position depending from the .stl file that define the pin and the block size.

The dialog is now non-modal: it does not block the underlying view. We removed the curve parameters. The dialog now only changes the interface type.

To open the dialog: Tools > Curves & Surfaces > Change Interface Type"

(140) 3D View in PDF reports (Existing Feature Change - MillBox) - version 2020 and later

MillBox will embed a 3D view of the current project in the report file.

This functionality requires that:

- The report is a .pdf file;

- And the prototype has any of the following extensions: .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx.

This functionality is active since version 2020, enabled by default, and cannot be disabled.

Please note that:

- The 3D view will significantly increase the report-file size;

- The colors in the 3D view are fixed and cannot be customized;

- For the best performance of the 3D view, we recommend using Adobe Reader version 9.0.0.

MillBox will embed a 3D view of the current project in the report file.

When an object is added on Glass Ceramics blocks, MillBox will add automatically 2 pins, one of this is rectangular and it is used as reinforcement in the strategy. Since both are in the same position, or near the same, when one of them is selected, the other one will be displayed transparent. If the user delete the reinforced pin, SUM3D will add one automatically before calculating the toolpath.

In sintering mode, MillBox allows to create a custom protection cover onto cavities. Custom cover thickness is inputed by the user and can be applied to a single cavity, to all cavity of an object or to all cavities of all objects in the project.

In sintering mode, MillBox allows to create a custom protection cover onto an existing interface, possibly replacing the existing one (if any). In the strategy configuration it's possible to filter options selecting the type of strategy, for example 'roughing' or 'finishing'. If the strategy contains COP tags (they are related to special operations that must be applied on some parts of the object), the paint toolbar will contain more tools that allow user to select areas to be managed with special operations in different colours. It's also possible to quickly delete this colours or have informations on them. After the definition of a coloured area an arrow will show the milling direction, if the user put the colour with an orientation not compatible with machine angles the arrow will be put with a different angle. The default angle is applied with the user view when he select the area.

The change will be done only once, if the user switch back to the previous configuration next update will not change them.

MillBox will associate a unique code to every new block the user creates. Upon block creation, the user can print the bar-code label that encodes such unique code and stick it to the side of the block. Later on, if the user scans the bar-code label (through a webcam or a bar-code scanner), MillBox will select the corresponding block, if it can be found on the user's disk.

Please note that bar-code labels are 40mm x 9mm, so the webcam must have adequate resolution and focal point to be able to scan them.

Now this scale values is calculated correctly during calculation. XY values will be mediated and assigned to Z only on project, before calculating Z will be correctly rescaled. It is suggested to check the material residual simulation after calculation (on top and bottom side if the Z shrinking factor has big difference fromXY). Before (2017 version) the different scale factor was applied correctly only if object were not rotated.

(18) Order reusable blank table (New Feature)

The reusable blank table can be automatically ordered by clicking the column lable. To apply 2 orders 2 labels must be clicked in correct order. For example if the user want blanks ordered by material, and inside he want an order by height he has to click first on height label, then to the material label. As before the user can change manually some row order by dragging first column. The order will be applied after MillBox restart.

It's possible to set all pin parameters (dimension, number, shape behavior) in the configuration dialog. It's possible to decide if a material define parameters on configuration or they are picked from the blank depending if "Edit" button is checked or not. If a material, for example Zirconia, has parameters defined in configuration dialog they will be hidden in the blank table.

(10) Scaling / Shrinkage factor in % - percentage (Existing Feature Change)

In MillBox's configuration it is now possible to change the scaling factor for zirconia from whole numbers to % (shrinkage factor), a scaling value of 1.25 corresponds to a shrinkage factor of 20%.

(9) Engraving Text on support pins (New Feature)

It is now possible to write engraving text on support pins. Currently if text is added on a pin the tooth can be rotated only along the Z axis. To unlock rotation along other axes, the text must be removed first. Furthermore any pin with text on them cannot be moved and the shape cannot be modified.

(7) Rectangular Support Pins / Stabilizer (New Feature)

Users can change the shape of support pins to rectangular. There is a new icon used to select them on the pins toolbar and there is a configuration setting on blank dialog. If pins are placed near the equator curve the shape will contour to the curve to reduce the chance of creating undercuts.

Align the object selected (crown, abutment, hybrid abutment) to Z axis so it can be milled vertically and with 4 axis machines. Useful for objects where the axis is calculated manually. If the object has 2 axis clicking the function twice the other axis will be used to align.
